New developments relating to new domain names - Changes are coming to generic top-level domain names.
A generic top-level domain name, or gTLD in tech speak, is the part after the last dot, like ".com" or ".net." We could see gTLDs for a wide variety of interests, such as ".app" and ".med."
Within the next year or so, perhaps more than 1,000 new generic top-level domains are supposed to launch. Read more...
